Builds the weekly cash view from open receivables, open payables and the recurring schedule, dates receipts by how each customer actually pays, and runs the scenarios that matter.
A cash forecast built on due dates is fiction, because customers do not pay on due dates. This one uses each customer's average days late from history, so the low point lands in the right week.
What it does
Reads open AR, open AP, recurring items (payroll, rent, VAT and corporate tax payments, subscriptions, retainers) and customer payment behaviour.
Places every receipt and payment in its week, builds opening and closing cash for 13 weeks, flags weeks below the minimum.
Four scenarios from the same ledgers: base, collections 14 days slower, largest customer lost, supplier terms stretched 7 days, with the first breach week for each.
Detail sheets show every receipt and payment behind every week, and an assumptions sheet says exactly what was and was not included.
How it was tested
Sample business: base case low point in week 11, slow collections breaches the minimum in week 2 and again in week 11, largest customer lost stays above it. All three checked by hand against the detail sheets.
Screens
Forecast: receipts and payments by category for 13 weeks, closing cash and headroom against the minimum, with the base case chart.Scenarios: closing cash under four assumptions with the low point and first breach week for each.Receipts detail: every open invoice with its expected week, dated by the customer's payment history.
