Multi entity consolidation with intercompany eliminations
Three trial balances on three charts of accounts, mapped to one group chart, translated to AED, intercompany eliminated, with every unresolved item listed before sign off.
Group numbers built in a spreadsheet break the moment an entity adds an account or a mapping goes stale. Consolidation should be a mapping table the client owns and a process that refuses to sign off while anything is unmapped.
What it does
Reads each entity trial balance in local currency (Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online and Xero exports in the sample) plus the mapping table and the group chart.
Validates: each trial balance balances, every account is mapped, every mapping points at a real group line, no account carries both debit and credit balances.
Translates to AED, aggregates by group line, matches intercompany receivable against payable and revenue against cost, eliminates the agreed amount and parks any difference in suspense.
Writes the consolidated statement with the entity columns, eliminations and the check that the whole thing nets to zero, plus intercompany, exceptions and mapping sheets.
How it was tested
Planted: an unmapped account, a mapping to a non existent code, a trial balance out by 250, an intercompany pair that does not agree. All four surfaced; the net check shows the exact residual.
Screens
Consolidated statement: entity columns in AED, eliminations, consolidated figures and the net check.Intercompany: receivable against payable and revenue against cost for each pair, with the difference.Exceptions: what must be cleared before sign off, with the fix.
Who it is for
Groups with two to ten entities and a spreadsheet nobody trusts.
Built and tested on sample data before any live credential is connected. Every system Finamatik ships is adapted to the client's own tools and owned by the client outright.
